Wednesday morning I woke up abnormally early due to jet lag and felt fired up to go try my pending project that I sadly left incomplete after my last trip to Spain at the end of March. Era Bella, 9a... A BEAUTIFUL route in Margalef, Spain, that was established by Chris Sharma. The temperature was brisk but not too cold and there was a slight wind. Maybe it was my dreams of succeeding on the route that aided me to the top!!! I had never worked on a route and left it unsent before and after leaving Spain ...

New Caves - Brian Dunnohew

New Caves - Brian Dunnohew
April 26, 2012 -  Brian Dunnohew

A few weeks back I got invited to check out some new caves near the small town of Ten Sleep Wyoming. Dave Snyder and Marc meet Vance and I in town and took us down some highway with a bunch of sandstone. We pulled off and hiked this nice trail that followed a stream in a somewhat narrow canyon, surrounded by mouth-dropping dolomite/limestone caves. Vance and I were freaking out and Dave just laughs and told us to wait and see. We eventually cross the stream on some sketchy logs, climb a steep hill, up a 20 foot rope...

A couple of weeks ago I was fortunate enough to be able to hitch a ride down to the Red Rock Rendezvous and meet some of the five.ten crew. Other than being an incredibly awesome experience and meeting with old friends; I managed to be able to get a little rock climbing in as well. My experience with Vegas has always been the standard Red Rocks arrival; however this time around I was able to meet up with my old friend Andy and he decided to take me up to Mt. Potosi. If there...

Its been very spazzy weather out here, 90 degree weather last week, raining and cold this week. Not the greatest for climbing, but I have been keeping my self busy with gym sessions and doing school work (or trying to). I have been to a few places out here, the hide away, happy valley, and farley are all super cool spots. Im real excited to do Y2K9, speed of life, and Im really psyched to check out Great Barrington. Anyone know anything about the fire at farley???This past weekend was Central Rock Gyms pro comp. They did a great...

Moving Eastward My journey around the world moving eastward is well on its way and off to a successful start! After departing from the limestone rock in Southwest Utah, I arrived in Boston, ready for the next events on my April calendar! To begin with, I spent Friday, April 20 teaching two separate clinics at MetroRock Climbing Center in Everett, MA. First, I worked with a talented and enthusiastic group of youth climbers, then later that day, I coached a group of equally excited adults in a clinic in which all proceeds went to HERA; a nonprofit Ovarian Cancer...
