The Mite of the Cave, Working on the Project - Ferran Guerrero Hervas

The Mite of the Cave, Working on the Project - Ferran Guerrero Hervas
November 25, 2014 -  Ferran Guerrero Hervas

After a section to write my chronicles time, I'm back here, not in great shape, my finger no longer er will return as the same, but at least no pain. I can again feel the mountains, to have projects in the walls and new adventures to climb, and that fills me with happiness, back in full to the vertical. Two years ago I found strolling with the family this great fissure, a few days with Quo and we put the meeting and we started working on it, many loose flagstone, sandstone typical here a lot of...

Good Times in Squamish - Joseph Gifford

Good Times in Squamish - Joseph Gifford
November 24, 2014 -

Squamish was the longest leg of our 3 month long trip. We spent about 3 weeks in Squamish, rock climbing and having a great time. We did pretty much all the types of climbing Squamish has to offer bouldering, sport climbing, and multi pitch. But when we first rolled into Squamish it was a bit damp so we started sport climbing at Cheakamus which has some really sick hard overhanging crack like climbs. The Big Show wall stays dry if it doesn't rain too hard and not too many people get on it because it’s all...

MEX-CO the Aztec Path - Diego Lopez Montull

MEX-CO the Aztec Path - Diego Lopez Montull
November 12, 2014 -  Diego Lopez Montull

For the last two months I have been traveling back and forth from Colorado to Mexico trying to climb outdoors but it wasn’t entirely possible since it kept raining in Mexico City all of July. I couldn’t really get out of the city much, but I did climb a lot on many of the climbing gyms now open all over Mexico City. Daily routine now turned into 6 hours a day climbing for 5 days of the week. Every day I go to sleep late and wake up late since I’ll be training ‘till 11 p.m....

Train Hard or .... Train Hard and Smart - Nic Rummel

Train Hard or .... Train Hard and Smart - Nic Rummel
November 12, 2014 -  Nic Rummel

This year I decided to take a new turn in my climbing career. I decided not to devote most of my climbing/free time to climbing but rather to training. For many people this means 4by4s and circuits and other work outs at climbing gyms. The problem with climbing is that it is full body work out and because of that just climbing may not be the optimal way to train the body for any one particular climb. The climbs I'm interested in are the ones that will be at ABS Open Nationals this year. From this view point I...

5 Competitions in 6 Weeks - Carlo Traversi

5 Competitions in 6 Weeks - Carlo Traversi

I was completely aware of what I had signed up for until I was in the thick of it.  The travel schedule alone was enough to warrant a stiff chaser of hibernation and solitude.  I’m typically good at dealing with high-energy scenarios, crowds, and relentless amounts of time “on the road”, but this particular season was going to put me to the test.

Schleierwasserfall and Again Osp - Christian Muench

Schleierwasserfall and Again Osp - Christian Muench
November 06, 2014 -  Muench

After my last trip to Osp, I discovered the beauty of Schleierwasserfall, starting with climbing three days in a row there and then all the following weekends as well as a couple of days during the week. This brought me couple of beautiful routes, new contact to very nice people and finally a perfect alternative to Kochel, where I had been almost all the rest of the year so far.
