This is Africa! - Sasha DiGiulian

This is Africa! - Sasha DiGiulian
July 25, 2013 -

First time, love at first sight! Africa is exotic, welcoming, and free. I feel so fortunate to be able to travel here and I am so appreciative to everyone making my trip so great! On July 2 I traveled to Johannesburg with 3StringsProductions - Keith Ladzinski and Andy Mann and Arjan de Kock of South Africa. Our agenda was to climb at Waterfall Bovcn – South Africa’s gem for sport climbing. This climbing location is easily world class. Located outside of JoBurg, the landscape is filled with rolling hills, trickling mountain streams, and immense cliff faces. The rock is a...

Mallorca Week Three, Part One - Andrew Baldwin

Sunday July 14th - Back to Puig de Garrafa.Week three. We were starting to get accustomed to this lifestyle. It was all I’ve ever wanted. Living in a small home with good friends, eating amazing food, and spending our days climbing. I could do this for a while. Two weeks were behind us though and as much as we hated the idea of it, time was moving fast. We were basically halfway through our trip already. It was time to get moving.Over our typical bountiful breakfast of toast and yogurt, we talked about where we’d go for the day....

Finally Some Granite Again! - Martina Cufar

Finally Some Granite Again! - Martina Cufar
July 22, 2013 -

The weather finally got better and warmer, so I took advantage of every possible day to go up on the altitude to climb in the granite of the Mont Blanc massive. No every day went as planned though; once there were 5 parties in front of us, then one day the cable car didn’t work, one day the mountain I chose was the only one in the clouds the whole day another day it was clear blue sky but freezing strong wind, not announced at all in the forecast..Well, climbing in the granite is not like going to the...

Finding The Perfect Line - Urs Moosmuller

Finding The Perfect Line - Urs Moosmuller

I am now back in Mexico City with the goal of finding and developing new routes. The potential here is overwhelming and there are very few established 5.14’s. Upon arriving in the city, I immediately started to search for hard lines. The first area I decided to check out is a park just outside of the city called Los Dinamos. Los Dinamos is a huge heavily forested canyon just to the southwest of the city. The rock here is volcanic and has four main sectors with developed climbing on them. The canyon walls reach up to 100...

On the Hunt - Ryan Silven

Well, summer is in full swing. Colorado is the place to be as there are many amazing boulders to try and areas to climb at for those willing to brave the long hikes and sometimes terrifying weather. Climbing in the alpine is almost another genre all its own as it is never just "another day at the boulders." Squalls come on you hard and fast, talus is jagged and hard to negotiate, and the altitude has a way of ruining your day if you neglect to bring enough food and water. The car is not just an easy walk...
