South Africa Part One - Andrew Baldwin

South Africa Part One - Andrew Baldwin
September 04, 2014 -

In the summer of 2013, with no real clue what I was I store for, I got onto a plane, only to later pass out on that same plane, land, and then (after a series of a few more unfortunate events) begin one of the best climbing adventures of my life.

I am a champion! - Hans Christian Montenegro

I am a champion! - Hans Christian Montenegro
September 02, 2014 -

I am a champion! This is the last competitions blog for the competition session 2013-2014. It is a perfect moment to say thank to my sponsors Organic, Allez up and of course, FIVE TEN. All their support in many different ways helped me to improve my climbing level and allowed me to participate in many different competitions for this year. There was a Gala for the Quebec circuit. It was a very nice reunion. Well organized, nice people and climbers everywhere. The FQME (Quebec federation of mountaineering and climbing) presented all the new projects for...

Summertime Reflections - Francesca Metcalf

Summertime Reflections - Francesca Metcalf
August 28, 2014 -

This summer mostly revolved around an internship and classes, but I was lucky enough to be able to attend some of the biggest comps of the season in the US. Since I placed 8th at ABS Open Nationals, I qualified to compete at the World Cup held in Vail, Colorado. I have competed at this World Cup multiple times, and it's always a blast, not just because of the climbing, but because of all of the other events that take place at the same time and the Vail is a really fun town to hang out at. This year...

Climbing in Ceuse! - Delaney Miller

Climbing in Ceuse! - Delaney Miller
August 27, 2014 -

After competing in Briancon, I went slightly north to climb on the famous mountain of the Hautes-Alps, Ceuse. I was only able to climb there for four incredibly short days before hitting the trains to Innsbruck, but that was plenty of time to have me convinced that Ceuse is one of the most extraordinary places in the world. The trip began with horror stories about the brutal approach to the rocks. I, like most climbers, am not a fan of hiking. I hate having to carry 40 lbs. of gear, food, water, and extra clothes anywhere; not to mention...

A Summer to Remember - Nick Bradley

A Summer to Remember - Nick Bradley
August 25, 2014 -

These past two months have been full of nothing but climbing at the best crags in the country with just as amazing people, and memories that I will be able to cherish forever. I wanted my summer to be full of lied-back climbing, and I couldn't be happier with the result. My attitude towards climbing is always calm but psyched, and I was able to apply that at the beautiful Red River Gorge, KY and Maple Canyon, UT to enjoy my stay, but still crush harder than ever before. However, none of this would've turned out as well as...
