This year's Beg, Borrow, Steele event was a huge success. Despite threatening weather, over 130 people showed up to support the event. Matt Ginley and I got loads of demos out on people's feet to enjoy the 75 sport routes at the house. As the heat and humidity took its toll around 6pm, the kegs of local microbrew were tapped and bbq was served to fuel the ensuing pad wrestling match and dance party.
Attendees started making their way back to campsites around 2AM to eventually rise early for another round of routes and swimming. As Sunday ended the final tally was counted resulting in $2200 raised for the Southeastern Climber's Coalition making this the second largest SCC fundraiser just behind the Triple Crown Bouldering Competition. People were psyched and Five Ten was in full effect.
