Here’s a short message from Edyta as she reflects on the Chamonix competition and prepares for the Arco Rock Master comp!
I had won silver medal In World Cup In Chamonix. This was an exciting event! Competition was held on official 15 meter IFSC Speed Record Wall. After qualification round I was third, and in the 1/8 of finals I had to compete with the Russian athlete Natalia Titova. This was most stressful battle in all competition. I had won this run with 12,41 seconds to 12,53 seconds! You can see on the photo, how small difference it was!
Than in next run I had to compete with my countrywoman Monika Prokopiuk, I won that hit with 11,55 seconds to 12,47 seconds. But next hit was the fastest one in all competition, I had to ménage very good Russian athlete Julia Lewoczkina, who had won two cups this year. In very fast run I beat her with 10,57 seconds to 10,98 s.
In the final hit I’ve made small mistake, and Russian Ksenia Aleksiewa had won. I’m very happy of silver medal, I feel really strong, I know that gold was in my range. Now I go to Arco in Italy for Rock Master competition.
