Climbing on new boulders at Lincoln Lake.
I've been quite successful in my climbing endeavors lately and I feel the need to say that my footwear has played a large part. It's amazing the power a new pair of shoes will lend to the rest of your body.
In other news, there has been a lot of activity at Lincoln Lake lately. It's the new 'cool' area and everyone wants a piece of the action. In the past couple weeks I've been able to put up a couple new lines at the area; a cool compression line I called Mr. Bigshot v7 and a face dyno called Purple is not a Color (v10). There are more problems up for grabs including several very difficult ones but one of the cool features of the area seems to be the fact that there are nice easy to moderate climbs as well. The traditional alpine areas Rocky Mountain National Park and Mt. Evans don't offer many climbs in the v0 - v9 range and this area, while still under development, appears to offer what the others lack. I'll be staying in Colorado for another month or so and I'm looking forward to seeing what else the area will produce. Until then...
