Here it is. My very first blog post for Five Ten. I joined the team in late May and have been rocking the new shoes for about a month now. I must say the Team Five Tens are amazing performers and pretty in blue!

As the spring rains in Vancouver are starting to lift, I've been heading out to Squamish with my boyfriend and fellow Five Ten athlete Ryan Olson, along with other friends. It's beautiful in the forest, and the rock is as solid and tough as ever. After spending most of the winter healing from a shoulder injury, it's incredibly refreshing to get out and pull down on some classic and beautiful problems and routes. With all the amazing ascents by the girls these past few months, I am psyched to get out there and project some hard boulders. It should be an amazing summer!

Also, I was lucky enough to be asked to write an article for the latest issue of Gripped, which is entitled "Growing Up Climbing". I was thrilled to be offered such a wonderful opportunity, and even more excited to see that I ended up on the cover.

Life is good when there's rock, sunshine and smiling people. Enjoy the summer everyone and I'll keep ya posted.
