Bouldering in Pemberton and preparing for the Vail World Cup.

Spring has finally come here, bringing a few more sunny days and opportunities to get outside. At the end of April, I finished up my second year of University and jumped right into a full time job at a software company. Despite being pretty busy with work, I've been trying to climb a lot and keep in shape.

Two weeks ago, my girlfriend (and new Five Ten® team member!) Vikki and I took a weekend trip to a nice bouldering area called Pemberton. There aren't a ton of problems in Pemberton, but the few that are there are some of the best in BC. It was pretty hot out, so conditions were not ideal, but we just took it easy and enjoyed the day. I even managed to climb a nice V10 arete called "In Your Face" at the end of the day. Check out the photos at the top of this post.

In between days outside, I've been trying to up some plastic fitness. Next week I am heading to compete in the Bouldering World Cup in Vail. I'm excited to see how it goes, and I'll report back here after its done!
