This weekend was the first Pan-American Continental Championships, which was held in Quito, Ecuador. Climbers from nine countries in South or North America came together to compete in bouldering, sport, and speed climbing.
Sasha Digiulian and I were only two from the USA competing, but together we made a pretty good show. I only competed in bouldering but Sasha competed in all three disciplines. I won bouldering and she won sport climbing and placed second in bouldering, giving Team USA enough points to place third overall.
With one big bouldering competition down and school almost done, it’s time to focus on the next big comp, the Teva Games. I’ll be leaving in just over a week, but there’ll be plenty of hard training done before that so I can hopefully be able to put on a good show there too!
