Will Stanhope
I was in the Utah desert for the majority of April. I spent most of my time at a shady wall, giving my all on a project that has yet to be climbed. I dragged my girlfriend up there a dozen times, recruited spotters, crashpads and tiny cams. It didn't go, although sometimes I felt I was right there. The last move of the 50 foot pitch is a 6 foot sideways dyno. I once fell there and took a gigantic whipper, nailing an arete, bruising my heel, and skittered to a halt 15 feet above the pads.
Hop scotching down the trail one legged, I couldn't help but laugh at the absurdity of it all....
I'll be back for sure.
