Gravity East Round 1- Massanutten Resort, McGayetsvill, VA. This weekend was the first round of the Gravity East Series and was also the first weekend on a downhill bike for most of the team.

For Team Voncooper it was a weekend to test out our new bikes and get to know the new teammates Adam Mores and Tim White.  Friday was course inspection. We spent most of the day dialing in our suspension and getting the bikes really ready for the season. After only a few runs all of the team members felt great on the bikes. For everyone on the team our goals were to put down a solid race run and gain confidence on the new GT Fury.

Adam Morse ended up in 11th place in the Pro class. Considering Adam drove all the way from Seattle Washington to this race, it was a great result.

Tim White was less than one second off of Adams time and ended up 12th in Pro. Tim had a clean run, but knows where to make improvements.

Willem Cooper put together a smooth run that he was happy with and ended up in 7th in Category 1 19-29. He knows he needs to work on carrying speed throughout his whole run and is confident he can break top 5 at the next race.

Jake Baxter smashed and bashed threw the rocks to end up in 13th place in Category 1 19-29. He knows he needs to work on his fitness from this weekend and plans on doing so before the next race.

All in all, the first weekend of the race season was a huge success and really helped with team moral. We all look forward to the next race.
