Let's Help a Climbing Legend!
Layton Kor, renowned for his boldness and his eye for classic lines, was nicknamed “Layton the Great’n” back in his heyday, in the ’60s, when he pioneered such routes as The Naked Edge in Boulder’s Eldorado Canyon and the Kor-Ingalls Route on Utah’s Castleton Tower. A bricklayer by trade, Kor is now in his 70s and hurting: he needs a kidney transplant. Coming to his aid, climbers Steph Davis and Stewart Green kicked off a series of gear raffles to raise funds for Kor. Those who enter the raffle also gain a chance to go climbing with Davis, Jimmie Dunn, Tommy Caldwell, Eric Horst, or Conrad Anker, all on one of Kor’s historic routes. The raffle ends on April 1. This is your last chance to DONATE $25 and possibly win a pile of gear, climb with a legend, and most importantly, help a Titanic figure in the sport of climbing.
