"The last few months have been filled with lots of travel. I feel lucky to be able to experience all these great climbing areas.  I went to Arkansas to visit our friends and get some climbing in. We spent two days at Lincoln Lake at an area 45 minutes outside of Bentonville. I loved it! The hike in was beautiful, through the forest along the river. It reminded me of Southern Illinois.  The forests back East are so different than out West. All the moss and trees makes it feel magical and haunted.

There where probably only 25 established problems, but I swear everyone was fun and different. I wanted to stay, but we had to move on to Horseshoe Canyon Ranch. People will think I am crazy, but I did not love it. The area is beautiful with potential for hundreds of more problems, but I had a hard time getting psyched on all the arete's. I did do some great problems, but I would have rather been back at Lincoln Lake or in SOILL at the Holy Boulders.  I might be a bit pissed too, since I tore my A4 pulley warming up there, but that is a whole other post."
