Davin Bagdonas' take on 2009

Davin Bagdonas' take on 2009

January 06, 2010 -  Davin Bagdonas

"2009 was a mixed year for me. I had the excitement of finding amazing amounts of new rock in Wyoming, Colorado, and Utah, and climbing at a high level for most of the year. Many, many good new boulder problems were done in 2009! On the other side of the spectrum, early spring and early fall both brought injuries and subsequent breaks from climbing for me. Hand injuries from too much bouldering caused me to take a step back from climbing and review my goals and motivations. Coming back from both injuries I reached new levels of fitness and motivation to boulder, perfect for dealing with all the new rock. I am more excited than ever to develop new rock in Wyoming and elsewhere. There is no doubt that the best is yet to come. 2010 will be a year of hard new lines and a new standard in Wyoming bouldering. Some of the finer lines that went up in 2009 are shown here. I wish you best of years in 2010. As always my resolution is to live, climb, and make the most of the year ahead. Enjoy!" -Davin Bagdonas
