A few weeks ago I received a phone call from a close friend in Idaho asking if I would be willing to help out a family in need. This family had lost a great man, Vietnam Veteran, Frederick Kellerman. One of Fred’s dreams was to BASE jump off the Perrine Bridge in Twin Falls, Idaho. Unfortunately, that dream was never fulfilled before he passed.
Honoring a Veteran Through BASE - Max Kuszaj
Never in a million years did I think I would be able to help a family with their grieving and closure by the sport of BASE jumping. On Monday, I was honored to BASE jump with Fred’s ashes into the Snake River Gorge and complete his lifelong dream.
BASE jumping has taken me around the world, and has given me unbelievable life experiences. This one jump, honoring a service man of this country ranks in the top as one of the most amazing experiences I have had in this sport. To provide closure to a suffering family was beyond an honor I will never forget.
