A few new bike shoes have been added to the line up for five ten: Impact VXi Clipless, Impact VXi, the Hellcat had some minor changes, and the Maltese clip shoe had a makeover as well. Material changes have combated some weight and weather issues.
Fresh Kicks in the Mix - Jill Kintner
After racing a few World Cups in the new Impact VXI clip less, it has performed really well in both Hot dry conditions as well as wet. This shoe delivers power, is light for rotational weight, protective, has a comfy fit for walking with enough flex, the rubber is perfect for hiking, and the adjustability with the cleat allows the position to go further back for downhill. The only real thing to note is that this shoe runs a little big. I'd pick this shoe for the best all around- trail riding and dh.
I wrote a review about the Flat pedal version, which has a lot of the same characteristics, so make sure to check that one out.
