Finding the balance between my studies and my school life has been very challenging for me. At first, after I arrived at The Master's College, it was pretty easy to find the balance between the two. The Closer I get to the end of the semester, the harder it is for me to do both. I was still able to commit a fair amount of time to bouldering.

Just recently, during a bouldering session, I got a hernia. It was very discouraging for me at first. After I got it, I knew I wasn't going to be able to compete in the American Bouldering Series this year. After talking to a surgeon, I know that I'll be recovered soon enough, and I'll be competing in the adult ABS National competition.

Even though I'm going to have be going through a surgery, I know I'll be back in the game soon. I'll just have to keep a positive attitude until then.
