The fall rains have kept my local gem of a run, The Middle Box to Baker's Box section of the Animas, flowing in late summer. It's an incredibly beautiful section of river that few get to see.
Driving home from my 10-week west coast paddle trip, I saw storm clouds on the horizon above my beloved San Juan mountains. With steady rains keeping the epic Grade V+ run by my house (Middle Box thru Baker's Box) flowing, my regular crew of paddlers and I have been getting after it. I'm so lucky that I get to drive less than 10 minutes from my door to get on this. My 5.10 Ascent's are my go to shoes. Wow these things rip! Grippy, comfy, lace up tight, and the mesh upper let water out quickly.
Hope you enjoy this short edit. Cheers.
