Spring 2013 was a busy and productive time for me.  The season started in Leavenworth this year with an early spring and new boulder problems, with several second ascents of Cole Allen climbs.

Inspired by so many new problems in a well established area like Leavenworth, I went exploring myself and discovered a new Leavenworth top ten problem: Saber.  A steep, balancy start turns into an iron cross jump move on bad holds are the star moves on this quality line. Located just a few hundred yards uphill from a major road, it shows that Leavenworth has many hard new problems to offer. This has been the best climb for me this year.

Going into summer, I am looking forward to working on projects in a new area near Index, WA.  I am also super excited for an upcoming fall trip to the Grampians, Australia.
