For me, climbing and traveling has always been a perfect combination. Experience new cultures, lifestyles, landscapes and add some simple things like sleeping in the car, staying outdoors all day, cooking on the camping stove - what a sweet life I would say.

So I can’t imagine a life without all this and I always will remember these special places around the globe which are blessed with tons of good rock and nice weather – visiting these places will always be a part of my life. But what can be better as having the best rock just in front of the living door? Nothing, really nothing!

Maybe I’m getting a little bit old or lazy but I’m living in the paradise right now. Sure, I also have smiled at the guys which are bouldering on limestone but the big master, the general, Klem Loskot has opened my eyes - all his new problems are superb!

Often it feels like ten years ago: Using every free minute to go somewhere in the wood and climb on a perfect piece of rock. For sure, it’s not like in a big area where you have the possibility to warm up on tons of easy boulders, but having really hard projects which you can try regularly is a thing I missed while climbing abroad. Some of the lines are done yet but a lot a waiting for a second ascent!

Enjoy the following pics of some climbs around the city of Salzburg.
