Youth rider Mille Johnset, age 12, hails from Norway. From an early age, Mille has craved speed and excitement. She started skiing before age 3 and competes in various alpine disciplines. In 2010, she tried downhill mountain biking for the first time.
Her background in skiing allowed for a smooth and quick transition to the bike and in 2011, she began to dedicate training time to downhill. Last season, Mille competed in the youth class at the Norwegian National Championships, finishing ahead of all of the boys in her class. Her race time was so competitive that she would have placed fourth in the Elite Women class.
Another highlight of the 2012 season was the opportunity to meet many of her pro idols at the Hafjell World Cup, including Five Ten Elite rider Stevie Smith.
Mille looks forward to the season ahead, placing at the front of her class and also the exciting opportunity to be a test rider for the 2013 World Cup track at Hafjell.
