Spring / Summer Update - Jena Lupia

“If you're trying to achieve, there will be roadblocks. I've had them; everybody has had them. But obstacles don't have to stop you. If you run into a wall, don't turn around and give up. Figure out how to climb it, go through it, or work around it” Michael Jordan.

This spring I have been trying to climb outside at least every weekend.  There are some new climbing areas being discovered here in New Mexico; medium sized Limestone crags for bouldering have been of interest for myself; so finding something that will push my limits and excite me has been the theme for spring.  Endurance has crept back into my life some how. I consider myself much more of a boulderer but lately training circuits with Timy Fairfield and Brandi Proffitt have been the latest fashion for training! To be honest I love every second of it and that deep burn in my forearms. It makes me psyched to see where I can push my limits and explore this part of climbing that I had left for such a long time.  For a break between nursing school I will be going on a 8 day climbing trip here in New Mexico places will include: The Tower, Jemez, and maybe even Flagstaff, AZ! I will keep everyone updated! Have a wonderful May 1st and go be active outside.  Lots of smiles :)
