What a season!
For the past 6 months, I have been trying to step up my game as a competition climber. I have competed at over 10 competitions this year, bouldering and lead competitions, trying to secure my spot on the national team and trying to obtain as much experience as possible.
As much as it can be very hard and stressfull to train and compete non-stop, constantly raising your expectations, it kept me chalenged and motivated. The biggest challenge for me was avoiding injuries! Of course, I have been very healthy and lucky all season and only managed injure my left shoulder during finals at nationals! Which luckily did not affect me much during the event!
My goal for the season was to rank top 3 in Canada. After finishing 2nd at eastern regionals and 7th at Nationals I finished 2 in the Canadian ranking! Now it is time to give my shoulder a break and slowly switch my training to climb some rocks!! And if I manage to get in top shape, maybe a few bouldering world cups... who knows.
