Feats of Strength 8 and Preparing for Nationals - Isabelle Faus

Feats of Strength 8 and Preparing for Nationals - Isabelle Faus

Yesterday was the Feats of Strength comp in New York. This comp beat me up, the quali round was four hours long, really brutal. The problems were really fun tho, and I was psyched to give them solid efforts.

The finals round had three problems, I was able to flash the first.. topped the second on my third try, and got about half way through the endurance style 3rd problem. This comp was the first time I competed with Ashima Shiraishi, and needless to say she is a very impressive climber. Not only can she crush boulders, but she is a very sweet and friendly little girl. It was very inspiring to watch her climb, she flashed all three finals problems taking the win, follwed by my self in 2nd, and Molly Gaynor in 3rd. The comp was really fun and it was awesome to climb with Ashima.

This coming weekend is nationals. Im a mixture of nervous, excited, and I really just can't wait for it to be over. Im ready to go out there, give it my all, and hopefully do really well. I fly out thursday and the comp is on friday and saturday, there will be a live feed of the comp on absnationals.org, check it out and cheer my self and the other competitors on!

Ill be back with up dates from the comp!
