Currently I am in South Hadley, Massachusetts waiting out the blizzard Nemo. The entire place is covered in snow, we may have gotten around 2 feet. Today I was supposed to go to the Power Struggle comp in Connecticut, but the snow has delayed the comp to tomorrow. I have been competing a lot these days, the first comp of 2013 was the DarkHorse championship; the last comp in a 4 round series. I won the first round, and got 2nd and 3rd in next two comps. Going into the last round I was really excited. Myself and some other ladies who were competing had just come from the Pro Comp Training Clinic put on at Earth Treks Rockville by Tonde Katiyo and Chris Danielson. After a few days of really working on our competition strategies we were all amped to put our new skillz to the test. The boulder problems were amazing, and I had a great time climbing on them. In a very close round, separated by falls, I was able to take home the win. I am really stoked to be this year's Dark Horse Champ, and looking forward to battling for my title next year. The weekend after I drove up to Montreal with Cody Grodowski and Josh and Zach Larson for the Tour De Bloc. I was able to take the win there as well! It was my first time competing on their circut and it was amazing. I will be definitely going back to Canada when ever I can. These next two weekend before Nationals I will be competing at two smaller comps in the region, just going to have fun and prepare as much as I can before going to Colorado Springs. I am really really excited for nationals this year, I didn't compete last year, but I am really motivated to try and kick ass this year! Hopefully ill be able to make finals at least. Ill also be competing at a few world cups this summer, The Ring of Fire comp, and Dominion River Rock. Check out some photos from the last couple weeks!
