I juts came back from the Bozeman Ice fest. It was an incredible event with tons of people. I got to teach a clinic on how to climb steep ice. We all had a great time swinging and kicking.

On Saturday the speed comp and the elite mixed climbing took place in down town. The structure was very cool just like the ones that you see in Europe for the world cup. The goal with this event it is to help make more presence in the mixed climbing comps in the US and keep promoting the sport. In 2014 Ice and mixed climbing will be a demostration sport in the Winter olympics that will be taking place in Oshi Russia and hopefully will be a Olympic sport in 2018 in South Korea it is basically it is what sport climbing is trying to achieve for the Summer Olympics.   With this new competition in Bozeman in conjunction with others that take place through out the country, the US in the future could potentially host a ice climbing World cup. I'm keeping my fingers cross.
