Waking you knowing you are going to have the time of your life. First stop was coffee. Then off to The Portland Boulder Rally; a local competition at the Circuit climbing gym in Portland Oregon.

As a team member I hoped into the team bus to be greated by all my other teammates. We were all very excited about this competition. One, because it was the first competition of the season for us. Two, there were going to very well known climbers there that we can interact with. But most importantly, it sounded like it was going to be a blast!

While putting on my Quantums I began to scan around to find my first route I was going to get on. After a bit of warming up I started to crank out some hard routes. Noticing my foot hand matched on a sloper and my left hand reaching for a crimp up above me I noticed something. Something that was bright. Something that flashed. It was a camera higher than me. That little attention made me have a little more strength, and I sent the route!

The little things you don't expect when your climbing can happen!

Thanks to the photographer that made me send my hardest route:
