HUGE success for the RRGCC as they paid off the Pendergrass-Murry Recreational Preserve! This includes areas from the Motherlode to Drive-By to Purgatory and is home of some of the best of the Red.

The Rocktoberfest event over the weekend was a celebration marking the success in the PMRP land acquisition. Over 700 were in attendance and well exceeded the goal of $30k for the climbing area.

Friday night kicked off with a presentation from Petzl athlete Emily Harrington, followed by the Reel Rock 7 film. Patagoina helped people vote for the environment and write to the President to advocate for climbing. Saturday night comprised of a wonderful cajun catered dinner, crate stacking competition, and the 23 String Bluegrass Band.

Thanks to the RRGCC for serving the climbing community and securing some of the best sport climbing in the world.
