Since the beginning of September, I’ve moved into my dorm at Stanford University and have begun classes. Fortunately, I have found that there are many climbers here and tons of other students that are very interested in the sport. Plus, there are even 3 others here who are/have been on the US team: Andy Lamb, Audrey Hsu, and Lila Neahring. Actually, we had a US team reunion climbing session at Planet Granite just last Thursday. We’re hoping to get a Stanford climbing team going soon, so that we can keep competing with other college students. Hopefully, we’ll get funded to be able to travel around the country. Andy and I have been going to the gym frequently and working hard on our training since we’re planning on competing in a number of comps, including locals and adult nationals. But as for now, I’m climbing a lot, meeting new people, and making sure to represent 5.10.
