This past weekend the AAC hosted the craggin classic at their new campground at the New River Gorge. The weekend was focused on the new campground and raising funds for it.
Friday night of the event kicked off with a southern style pig roast that was enjoyed as people arrived to the campground. Attendees woke up Saturday morning to coffee and breakfast as well as a shoe demo and a few clinics all provided by Five Ten. Tim Rose fellow athlete and I did clinics on bouldering and Women's crack climbing 101. The evening was celebrated with a catered dinner, slide show from Mountain Hardwear athlete Pat Goodman, and a live auction that raised over $1500 for the campground.
There were around 150 in attendance for the event, not bad for the New's first major Alpine Club event and raised over $2k.
