Hookin up the Needed. - Dennis Yuroshek

So here I am hangin out in Hood River, few days after the wicked Oregon Enduro. This little town has it all, amazing trails, food and people. I had one of my best weekends here racing, it really suited my downhill background and landed me in a solid 6th place finish. I had a smile on my face the whole time I was riding. My girlfriend Carolynn Romaine had a stellar time and killed it with a 3rd in the Womens PRO class, so stoked for her!

Any who we put the van in drive and headed to Sandy Ridge for a days worth of riding, met up with some cool shredders from Bend, OR who were there for the day. They offered to show us around since we have never been there before, so we accepted. I noticed on the pedal up the kid Myles' shoe's were hammered, so bad I could see his heel sticking out the side of his shoe.... GNARLY! Rewind about two months previous I came across a brand new pair of Freeriders in size 9, not my size but the perfect size for a certain person who I knew I would come across one day. After the epic shred I dug deep in the van and pulled out the shoes for Myles, "If they fit they are yours!" I said. It was like the movie Cinderella... Perfect fit. I was stoked, he was stoked, it always feels good giving back to the riders who need it most.

Keep shreddin!
