My last few days in the USA this spring were spent at the Rock & Ice Photo Camp... I did not quite know what to expect, and so came prepared for anything and everything. It all began by a late night trip out to Aspen – Three very tired girls (Sasha, Jessa and I) sleeping in the back of the 5.10 van, with Ronnie and Rich as our chafferers! In the morning we arrived at our very picturesque camp site to be greeted by a very keen crew of amateur and pro photographers, Rock & Ice staff and pro climbers (models). It was quite a gathering - More people than I was expecting and a ridiculous amount of cameras, pointed at us (the climbers) all the time - If there was any residual camera shyness in me, I think this trip fixed that!
The next three days were a blast – lots of very diverse climbing, swimming, deep-water soloing and photos, with a great crew in a stunning location…. Thanks to Rock & Ice and Five Ten for inviting me to this event! I am looking forward to seeing the photos in the next edition of the magazine!
Straight after the camp I was back at the airport, and off to Germany where I only had one day to chill with the family, before heading down to Millau for the Natural Games! The next three days were a high energy blur of fun, climbing and parties! July in South France is a little hot for me though... So I headed to mountains as soon as I could, and spent the last week around Ceuse and Briancon.
Now, I am gearing up for the Outdoor Show in Friedrichshafen.
