The last two weeks were pretty exciting. I won my first race this season and spent a day with a Slovenian bike magazine at a local bike park.
The race was an open Croatian national championship, DH Ivanec. and I was very excited to go because it would be my first race after the injury. After finishing my final exams in school I was ready to race at full power. The track was pretty steep but not that technical at the beginning and really fast in the lower part. I had some bad crashes at training so I wasn't expecting a really solid final run. I crashed in the finals too, but the time was still very good, more than enough to win, what I wasn't expecting at all. I was really happy to win because I knew I had worked hard for it and because my race run could have been much better. I know I am capable of riding much faster and now I surely have more experience with huge amounts of dust on the track.(photo by Zvonimir Mikasek)

A weekend before the race, a local road cycling magazine, Bicikel.com, invited me to ride with them in our local bike park Javornik. They were writing a report on mountain bike so they asked me if I could show them the trails. When they were busy doing interviews, I did some really good training on my own. The bike park will host our national championship in July. The mag press crew also caught some good snapshots:)(photo by Nejc Bole)
My season has started really well and I can't wait what else is there in store for me.
