Finding it hard to get motivated after returning back from Europe I kind of started to relax about climbing. I have always found it hard to stay in top shape year round. What's normal for me is having a few peaks throughout the year. But always maintaining some level of fitness.
On top of having a low motivation period when I got back, the weather was rising in temperature. And if there is one thing that will kill my motivation, it's warm weather. So I wasn't very concerned with getting outside to climb while I was back in CT. I did get out one day. One day when the temperature was perfect. And the last day the weather was perfect while I was home.
I went out climbing that day with Ty. I knew he was close on a project. He didn't think the weather would allow him to get it done. But we were optimistic about this day. The temps got cooler thought the day and the winds pick up as well. After a few tries Ty succeeded on a new test piece.
That day out was nice because I have grown up climbing at that area. And I knew there were not too many nice projects left out there to climb. This one was one of the nicest.
Beside getting out that day I spent most of my time back in CT working at the gym and climbing there too. Now I'm back in Boulder for the summer. I'm hoping that we have a cool summer that will allow some nice days outside.
