It's snowing today…that's why I have time to write. Last two weeks there was a spring time also in Chamonix. Before we were searching it in Buoux, but had to come back earlier because Tommy got ill:-)
We were still skiing a bit, but with so high temperatures it feels strange to put ski boots on. Five ten feels better! The rocks around here got dry and we got out from our “winter holes”, artificial walls. We realized that climbing on “plastic” doesn’t contribute much to the achievements on the “Haute – Savoie” rock. Climbing here is really technical, so at first we were a bit lost on micro footholds and vertical walls (I tried one 8a in Anthon …). But soon I got back the confidence in my feet and did some nice 8a’s. In Chapelle Saint Gras, Surprise sur prises 8a+, in the new spot above Taningesom, Yallah 8a, and in Suet Rencontre de troisieme age 8a.
In the meanwhile Tommy was in the good hands of his grannies and aunt, as you see on the photos, so I don't have bad consciousness when I went climbing!
