Lately I have been working on my project (Irreverent Youth 13.d) at Reimers Ranch in Austin, TX. I've only tried it about four or five times and I know I can send it next go but the only problem is that the weather in Austin has been terrible and raining every weekend for the past three weeks, so I’ve just been climbing at the rock gym on the weekends which is good for training but can get boring. I also can’t try Irreverent for awhile because I competed in adult bouldering nationals and i am going to youth nationals (which I’m super excited for) this weekend. But Last time I got on irreverent the crux hold was so wet that I had to keep drying it with a t-shirt because water kept on leaking into the sharp crimp and when i tried it last i got past the first slippery wet crux and fell at the final top dino crux. Even though the hard part of the climb was wet I tried it a couple of times and had some good goes on the partly wet climb. It’s awful because I’ve wanted to send this rout for over three weeks and I can’t do anything about it. But now all I have to do is hope that Austin doesn’t get any rain when I get back from Colorado so I can send!
