Even though it is nearly February, the snowfall amounts in the lower 48 have been well below normal.  Being a freeskier that is in the never-ending search of powder and fresh snow has it's positives, but when the winter weather doesn't deliver as it should, the negatives seem to overpower any positivity the sport has to offer.

Luckily the sport of BASE jumping gives the opportunity to fill that "snow void."  Living in the state of Utah allows action sports athletes, like myself and friend/fellow Five Ten athlete, Suz Graham, the perfect landscape and opportunities to ski, hike, bike, paraglide, speedfly, and BASE jump as seen in this quick edit.  BASE jumping has been well received by the state of Utah in BLM land, and to our advantage, Salt Lake City is surrounded with BLM property chock full of slider-down exit points.

As we continue to pray for snow, at least we have BASE jumping to keep our sanity...wait...does that seem normal to most?!?
