My Next Step - Sasha DiGiulian

January 29, 2012 -  Sasha DiGiulian

January 2012 marks the start of a New Year, and with this New Year have come new changes. For me, one of the biggest changes has been this new relationship with Five Ten. For the past 8 years I worked with MadRock as an athlete ambassador. I had a fabulous relationship with the people there, but I came to the decision that in order to pursue my career, I had to find a shoe more compatible for my personal preferences. I found this shoe with Five Ten and I am very enthusiastic about this momentous change. I had a great climbing year in 2011 and I learned a lot about myself in the process. Most importantly, I learned that the most important aspect any athlete can have is a belief in his or her own abilities. Climbing is a very mental sport and what drives one to excel is not solely physical exertion, but more importantly self-determination, positivity, and inspiration. My friends inspire me on a daily basis, and I seek to inspire others in return. I do not see this inspiration as stemming from physical achievements, but rather by demonstrating the strength of passion as a driving force in any new situation or future endeavor.

I am optimistic about my future with Five Ten and I am excited for this new partnership. The product is innovative and the people are driven. These aspects create not only a great company, but also a wonderful community that will grow and help the sport develop as a whole. I believe in this product and I trust that these shoes are the top of the line for performance.

In conclusion, I would like to state my enthusiasm to be a part of this new community and to extend my optimism about 2012. As a formal part of the Brand of the Brave, let’s make this year a FIERCE year to remember =]
