Over holiday break, I have taken two weeks off. Coming back to the gym, I have felt very strong. I climbed outside a few times before and after break. I didn't send anything too hard, but I sent a few v8's and v7's. I sent Daily Chuck Dose, v8, Doughboy, and several amazing climbs- one of which is called Kahuna Roof.
Kahuna Roof was definitely one of my favorite climbs. The climb consists of many big moves to big holds. It's only v5, but it was definitely a very classic climb.
Gym climbing is one of my favorite things to do at this point of time. I like to make hard movement. In a gym, there is always a new boulder to climb. I like climbing everything. Every hold, every angle, there are always different styles which I have never done before.
My competition season ended badly after I irritated my joint capsule a week before regionals. I knew that regionals weren’t looking very good. When I irritated it, the joint capsule started swelling and becoming stiff in the tendon. This caused a lot of pain as I climbed. I also do not have full mobility in my finger. I am currently seeing a physical therapist because of this injury.
I am super psyched to crush during this next year!
