November was a pretty fun month...I went to the Gravity Brawl comp at New Jersey Rock Gym and did a lot of bouldering in New York and Pennsylvania. I got first at the Brawl, which was a good comp, so I was psyched. After a small break in Florida for Thanksgiving, I got back and it was almost time for regionals. The comp was at The Gravity Vault in Chatham, NJ. The gym is pretty close to my house, so I was able to drive down the morning of the comp. A lot of my friends who I hadn't seen in a while were there, so it was fun getting to hang out with them. I finished climbing in qualifiers about 2 and a half hours into the 4 hour comp because there weren't that many boulder problems, and huge lines. After I finished qualifiers, some friends of mine and I walked to a diner for lunch during the time before finals. By the time we got back, they were starting to organize finals. Everything was pretty chaotic, and people were having some trouble understanding the stacking. I was lucky, and got to go out to climb fairly early. I flashed all three of my finals problems, the first two of which were pretty technical and balancy, and the third was overhung and all pinches. This put me tied for first in my category. They counted back to qualifiers, and I had a higher preliminary score so I ended up taking first. I had a good time at the comp, and am looking forward to seeing everyone again at divisionals next month. Congrats to everybody who was there.
The first stop of the 2015 Bouldering World Cup was in Toronto Canada...
I finished my last blog talking about the new route called Paco that...
