After living la dolce vita for a few weeks this summer in Italy I knew I had to come home and get to work - alpine climbing, that is...

I went for yet another attempt on one of the biggest and baddest walls of black limestone around, the famous North Face of North Twin in the Canadian Rockies. You can read about those attempts through the eyes of my partners Hayden Kennedy (round one), and Jon Walsh (round two). I've now climbed over 6,000' of new terrain on this monster wall, here's to hoping round three will put me on top...

The main event of the summer was an amazing adventure into the heart of the Coast Mountains. Tony Richardson and I went 'Coastal Karma style' and whitewater kayaked, bushwhacked, and glacier slogged our way into the range. I've taken a helicopter into the range before for alpine climbing and ski mountaineering, so it was nice to get to know my backyard a little better. It's truly a little piece of the Himalaya right in BC!

We did some outstanding climbing and then traversed the range to the Homathko River, which we paddled to the ocean. I am telling the story of the trip through online dispatches. It's my very first attempt at telling a story through the video medium, I hope you enjoy:
