Hope everyone's summer was great and that your autumn is off to a great start. We had a great summer here in Wyoming. I had all these plans to visit other crags in Colorado and Utah, but ended up staying in Wyoming. I pretty much spent most of my time at the Wild Iris and other neighboring crags. I even visited new walls at the Wild Iris that I haven't been to my 11 years of climbing there. Its crazy that there is still so many new routes/walls/crags/boulders still being developed here.
In July we celebrated the 18th? annual International Climbers Festival in Lander. It was a great time. Good food, beer, films, and clinics. Ronnie Jenkins came up and put on another great shoe demo. Even got my "Acopa only" friends to demo the new Blackwings. Climbing was great. Got to finish a rad roof climb called "Full Circle", that Matt Wendling bolted a few years back. Can't wait for next year's fest.
Hannah an I have just returned from visiting some friends in Mexico. Tried surfing...damn hard! Mad props to the surfers, it was way harder then it looked. Got back to Wyoming just in time for the first snow of the season. Hope there are some dry crags to climb at this weekend.
Have a great autumn!
