Star Trek has taught me several things in my life: if you slingshot around the sun you can go back in time to save a whale, any villain worth mentioning quotes Shakespeare (and is Ricardo Montalban) and that things that are blue are totally awesome.

Case in point, the Blue Spitfires.  More to the point, blue Spitfires on a bad-ass mountain bike rider named Danny Hart.

If you've been living under a rock or possibly sleeping on the side of El Cap the last two weeks, you may have missed Danny's amazing championship run that earned him the 2011 championship.  It was a run that defied odds and gravity as he came in 11 seconds in front of the current leader to pretty much secure his place in the history books.

Danny (all the really cool stuff seems to be done by dudes named Danny as of late.  Coincidence?  Yeah, probably) hung out at the Five Ten booth signing autographs and talking to fans.

If you can get your butt to booth 22129 on Friday, you may be able to hang with him.
