I had a great time training in the North Cascades in WA state for the past 2 weeks getting ready for my expedition to Kyrgysztan and China that is going to start in less than a week !!!!!!

The cascades are awesome place to climb. You can find routes from 5. fun to 5.12+ on pretty good granite. Routes from single pitch to 2,500 foot long faces.

Besides the climbing, the environment is awesome; cool trails, beautiful vegetation, cool animals, raging rivers, hidden lakes, big glaciers and the feeling that you are the only person there gives the place two thumps up.

For the adventures I like to use the Anasazi Mocassym they are the best !!!!  For the approach I like to use the insight. Even if there is little snow or glacier to cross, I strap on very light weight crampons and I'm on my way to go have a great time in the Mountains.

Highly recommend  the cascades to go and have a great adventure !!!!!

Now, it is time for me to start packing for my next trip to the far East where me and my partner will be exploring this radical valley on the border of Kyrgysztan and China where we will be chasing all types of routes from big rock walls to big wall ice lines.
