Today was all about planning.  We had a production meeting in the morning, went over the route and where we want to place cameras during the actual running.

The first item on the agenda was our balconies.  We have two balconies strategically placed on the route, and we are lucky enough to have a second story, front row seat to the Mayor of Pamplona's opening ceremony.  (More on that tomorrow)

We walked the route several times and went over the best and plausible locations to have cameras.  The Pamplona Police are very strict on where the media can be.  Most of the fences are solid wood, with only a little area at the top and bottom to fit cameras through.  Others have huge spaces in the middle, but are used only for allowing runners to escape the street; any media blocking the escape of a runner will get yanked and beaten with a herring.  Not really, but something bad and possibly funny would happen.  (what could be more funny than getting slapped with a fish?)
