Well, its been two months since I decked out in the UK breaking the talus bone in my foot. I'd be lying if I said that the last couple months has been easy- but that's life, and I appreciate the lows as well as the highs.
If anything, the downtime has given me a renewed appreciation for how much I love rock climbing: being outside, the focus, the intensity and the simple meditative act of moving on rock.
Dean Potter sent me a get-well email simply entitled "Fire". When I received the message, I was a little confused of what the title meant. But, after a couple months of doing next to nothing, the fire inside if burning bright indeed.
Here's a shot of my loyal dog Elsa, a couple fresh pairs of boots, my faithful crutches and the swollen foot.
I hope everyone out there is having a great spring :)
