A couple pitches in Feb. This year's Vancouver International Mountain Film Festival is going on all next week.  Jasmin Caton, Sean McColl and I are all giving presentations on the last night of the fest:  Feb 19.  So, if you find yourself on the west coast of BC, come by for some beer and pictures of rocks and mountains. Putting slideshows together is a good opportunity for me to do a little life inventory:  goals accomplished, goals ahead, and lessons learned.

Here's a few snaps of me doing 'Crime of the Century', a classic 11c in the smoke bluffs at Squamish.  When Sonnie called me to go climbing, I was deep into writing mode.  But dry days don't come along very often, so it was a perfect excuse to hit the rock.  I love this pitch.

For all my little soloing circuits I rarely use anything but my Anasazi 5Xs.  Comfortable, yet precise enough to toe down on the little dimples.  I probably use these shoes 90 percent of the time I go climbing.
