The Canadian bouldering series, the Tour de Bloc, is now in motion! This past weekend, my home gym, The Edge, hosted the first Western competitions of the series. Unfortunately, due to a nagging knee injury that I incurred just before Christmas, I decided not to compete. I did, however, film finals, and for the first time ever, made a movie. Pretty proud of myself here. Check it out!

It features fellow FiveTen athlete Ryan Olson, who battled a tough men's field to make it in the top 3! Also check out newcomer Alannah Yip, who at 17 years old, competed in only her second open bouldering competition ever and KICKED a$$. No stranger to competition, Alannah has grown up competing in youth competitions all around the world. It's going to be cool watching her make her presence known on the open competition stage. Next weekend is the second Western TDB at the Vsion in Canmore, AB. Thanks to a pre-booked flight and a new method of taping my knee, I am psyched to get my competition on. Should be a blast!
