A short note on my first time climbing in Sedona.

I am on my first long-term road trip: November through April 2010-11.  Wintering in the southwest instead of hunkering down in Manhattan - how could I NOT have done this before!? My destination to kick off things was Joshua Tree, CA, but along the way.... I stopped in Flagstaff to visit a friend.  Since I was doing that, another friend said "Bivy at my place, and I'll take you up a spire." - how could I NOT have done this before!?

And so - I did.  My friend is Tim, and the spire was Queen Victoria, 5.7.  Even though I considered myself moderately in shape, the approach had me huffing, puffing and saying "I have to catch up...."

However, as you might suspect - it was worth it!  Here are a few images from the day.
